What are Cookies?

Cookies are small pieces of text information sent by a web server and stored on the user’s side (usually on the hard drive).

The default parameters of cookies allow only the server that created them to read the information contained inside them. Cookies are most often used for counters, probes, online stores, websites requiring login, advertising and to monitor visitor activity.

For statistical purposes, Wesley Legal website is integrated with its own statistics system and with the statistical mechanisms of Google Analytics.

How do we use cookies?

We use cookies to:

  • enabling the use of the Customer Panel,
  • make it easier for users to navigate and use our website,
  • ensuring safety standards.

We use “persistent” and “session” cookies. Below we explain what that means.

Persistent” cookies remain in the device’s web browser until they are deleted by the user or until a predetermined period specified in the parameters of the cookie file. “Session” cookies remain in the browser until you turn it off or log out of the website on which they were posted.

Cookies also allow you to store information about the user’s session.

A Web session, due to the statelessness of the HTTP protocol, is a necessary way to transfer information between site is reloaded, every given time. In terms of the web, a session means a universal, personalized bag for storing data on the server. A separate session is created for each client, thanks to which this information does not mix between different users of a given page.

You can specify the conditions for storing or accessing cookies in your browser – detailed information can be found m.in in its instructions (help file) or the “settings” tab.

Cookies do not change the configuration of your device.

All modern browsers allow you to enable or disable the cookie mechanism (by default it is usually enabled). If you do not want to receive cookies, you can change the settings of your web browser.
